You do not need a referral from another physician/provider to be seen by a Provider in Gastroenterology Care.

Do Providers in Gastroenterology Care see children?

Children above the age of 12 years are welcome to practice, and Providers are happy to see them.

What should I do, if I want to be seen sooner than my scheduled follow-up appointment?

Call our office at 618-998-8885, and we will be able to accommodate your request.

What should I do, if I do not hear from your office about test results?

Some test results may take as long as 2 weeks. Call our office, if you have not heard from our office within that time frame.

What should I do, if I am not satisfied with your services?

We are committed to provide best care. We welcome your suggestions, and feedback. Please, call our office to leave a message for Dr Tibrewala, and he will be glad to discuss your concerns, and suggestions.

What should I do, if I need a prescription refill?

For the prescription refill, it is our policy that patient is seen in practice within a year. We suggest that you contact your pharmacy for prescription refill. We will then e-prescribe your refills.

What should I do to make sure that Gastroenterology Care of Southern Illinois is in my insurance Plan?

We accept most of insurances, and are in network for most of the insurances in the area. However, with continuous change in insurance industry, we suggest that you confirm our in network status with insurance company.

What should I do, if I do not understand my bill, or the invoice?

Call our office to discuss this with our office manager. We will be glad to discuss and work with you.

Why do I need to show my ID and insurance Card on each visit?

We need to confirm the identity, and the correct insurance information on each visit.

What should I do, if I have not heard from the endoscopy facility like hospital, or surgery Center, about my procedure reporting time?

The facilities usually contact you 1- 2 days before the procedure today about your arrival time. We suggest you contact them directly, if you have not heard from them in time.

  • Bring your current insurance cards, driver’s license 
  • Bring list of all current medications
  • Bring all your health records consisting of current laboratory and X-ray reports Co-pays are payable at the time of service in form of cash, check or a credit card
  • We participate in many health care plans but with rapidly changing information in health care plans we recommend that you check with your health care plan regarding our participation in health care plan 
  • Plans: Medicare, Medicaid, Health Alliance, Healthlink, Blue Cross-Blue Shield, United Health Care, Aetna etc
